Sheffield Hallam launches unique Olympic modules

Sheffield Hallam University has launched a unique set of modules in partnership with London 2012 making it the only university in the UK to officially partner the Games in this way.

Hosts sought for regional Podium 2012 Games events

Podium is seeking 10 universities and colleges that are prepared to host regional events taking place during March and April.

The events will be designed to inform FECs and HEIs of Games related opportunities including the Inspire programme, Get Set and volunteering. Podium will provide £1,500 (£3,000 in London) to host each event. For more information please click here.

Changing Places Community Fund launches

Communities across the country can now apply for thousands of pounds to help improve and celebrate their neighbourhoods thanks to London 2012.

Loughborough College accepted into Get Set

Loughborough College has become the ninth college to be accepted into the London 2012 Get Set network and plans are afoot for more Games inspired projects.

Catering call for colleges and universities

Colleges and universities are being invited to train students in hospitality and catering to help London 2012 achieve its food vision whilst leaving a lasting legacy for the industry.

University of Derby events course gains Inspire Mark

The University of Derby has received the London 2012 Inspire Mark for its new Events Management course which aims to help organisations meet their economic, social and environmental responsibilities. To read more click here.

BT has launched a competition to find the everyday people who are making a difference to London 2012 and members of the public are being asked for their nominations and votes.
